SEATRANS CONSULTING ® Cargo certification in terms of sea transportation safety

In accordance with the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea «SOLAS-74/78» and National Regulations of carriage of cargo by sea "The shipper shall provide the master or his representative with appropriate information on the cargo sufficiently in advance of loading to enable the precautions which may be necessary for proper stowage and safe carriage of the cargo to be put into effect".
Taking into consideration the above mentioned requirements the International Marine Organization (IMO) has approved the list of essential documents which should be handed over to the master of the ship without fail:

1. Carriage of the general cargoes.

"Information of cargo" required by the Regulation VI/2.2.1 of the "SOLAS-74" convention and RD31.11.21.16-2003

On completion of the loading and securing of general cargo the master of the vessel is issued the "Document of Safe Stowage and Securing of Cargo" required by enclosure 3 to RD31.11.21.16-2003
2. Carriage of the bulk cargo.

"Declaration of the Transportation Characteristics and Conditions for the Safe Shipment of Bulk Cargo" required by rule VI/2.2 of "SOLAS-74" convention and by the International maritime solid bulk cargoes (IMSBC) Code.

"The Certificate of Transport Characteristics of the Bulk Cargo at the Moment of Loading" required by rule VI/2.2 of "SOLAS-74" convention and by the International maritime solid bulk cargoes (IMSBC) Code.
3. Carriage of the dangerous cargo.

"Dangerous Goods Declaration" required by VII/5 of "SOLAS-74" convention, Chapter 5.4 of the International Code "MMOG" and by Annex III of "MARPOL 74/78" Convention..

Only "Recognized Organizations" of Russian Federation as:
- Central Marine Research & Design Institute (CNIIMF), St. Petersburg
- Marine Cargo Bureau (MCB), St. Petersburg
enjoy the right on work out and issue of the above-mentioned documents.

Our Company was arranged the certification department which currently has three representatives of CNIIMF and two of MCB working there nowadays. They enjoy the right to issue the documents on behalf of CNIIMF and MCB.

The Company undertook the responsibility to determine the transportation characteristics of the cargo at the moment of loading, rendering assistance to the master of the ship and shippers while loading, cargo storage and securing, preparing and delivering of the required documents to the master and to the Harbour Mater.

Thus, it takes only to make a contract with us and on receipt of Your written inquiry with the nomination of the vessel and cargo all the corresponding work will be executed, required documents will be issued and delivered to the addressee.
