For the purpose of fuller satisfaction of our clients requirements and expectations the Legal Department is functioning in the Company.
The Legal Department has been staffed with high quality specialists in the field of jurisprudence that allows to render professional consultations (both legal and physical persons) on various legal aspects and to represent interests of our clients in arbitrage and common law courts as in Russian Federation and abroad.
The basic directions of activity of the Legal Department:
MARITIME LAW
- Granting of a full spectrum of professional services in legal maintenance of navigation.
- Russian and International law of the sea consultations.
- Consultation and conducting legal and arbitration cases concerning property and other rights regarding trading and fishing vessels and on all other legal disputes in connection with navigation and fishery, including a detention of ships and cargoes.
- Consultation and conducting legal and arbitration cases regarding transportations of cargoes and passengers.
- Legal aid and conducting legal cases concerning insurance on transport.
- Legal aid granting in connection with motor trucking (multimodal transportations).
- Legal aid granting in the decision of the questions connected with air transport and air freight activity (multimodal transportations).
In the process of the above-stated activities moot cases are considered and legal aid and protection are granted to our clients in case of appearance of disputes under the Charter Parties, claims and lawsuits regarding the cargo, claim regarding vessels' collisions, salvage, damages to ships, detentions and releases of the vessels, execution of the charging lien to a vessel, claims in connection with losses due to abuse of environment, claims from agents, shipchandlers and ship-repair companies, claims for crews, claims from customs, immigrations and other bodies, criminal offences connecting with vessel, crew and cargo.
